Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WeTube handles information when you use our YouTube channel management and publishing tools. Before using YouTube-connected features, users are required to review and accept this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we process
When you connect a Google or YouTube account, WeTube may process account and channel information returned by Google APIs, such as your Google account identifier, basic profile information, YouTube channel identifiers, video metadata, playlist information, upload status, and other data needed to provide enabled features.
WeTube does not ask for, collect, or store your Google or YouTube password.
2. OAuth permissions and authorization
WeTube uses Google OAuth 2.0. Permissions are requested so WeTube can perform actions you choose, such as viewing authorized channel information, uploading videos, updating supported metadata, or managing related YouTube resources. WeTube requests access only for disclosed product features and does not use authorized data for unrelated purposes.
You can revoke WeTube's access at any time from your Google Account security permissions. WeTube also provides a documented revocation and deletion process on our Data Deletion & Revocation page.
3. How information is used
Information obtained from YouTube API Services is used only to provide, maintain, secure, and improve WeTube's channel-management features, including displaying authorized channel data and performing user-requested publishing or management actions.
Actions that insert, update, share, change visibility, or otherwise modify YouTube content are performed only through user-selected workflows. Users remain responsible for confirming the channel, content, metadata, and visibility settings before an action is executed.
4. Storage and retention
WeTube may retain limited account identifiers, authorization-related data, settings, and API-derived data where needed to operate the service. Authorization tokens are retained only as necessary to provide the features authorized by an active user.
Where YouTube API data is stored, WeTube refreshes or deletes it as required by applicable YouTube API Services policies. Unless a longer period is permitted or required under those policies or applicable law, stored API data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days. We do not sell YouTube API data.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only with service providers needed to operate WeTube, when required by law, or when you explicitly direct an action involving another service. We do not disclose authorized YouTube data to unrelated third parties.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect stored information and authorization credentials from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
7. Revocation and deletion
You may disconnect WeTube from your Google Account, stop using the service, or request deletion of data associated with your account. When authorization is revoked or a valid deletion request is received, WeTube deletes stored authorized YouTube API data associated with that authorization as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days, except where retention is legally required.
Deleting data stored by WeTube does not delete content or data stored by YouTube. To delete content from YouTube, use YouTube itself or an authorized API client that supports the relevant deletion action. See our Data Deletion & Revocation page for instructions.
8. Children
WeTube is not directed to children under the age required to independently consent to online services in their jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above indicates the latest revision.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, use the contact method listed on our Contact page.
